This is by far the best BBQ place we have been so far; among the state of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Memphis believe it or not. Located at the remote location in Wellston Oklahoma (about 1.25 hours from Tulsa), this place is a hidden gem of Oklahoma.
Once you saw their sign, just drive right in and hoping to find a parking spot. No clear marking, so just park anywhere you can. Then rush to get to the line. Today, it took us half an hour to get to the ordering area.
Pretty much everything is great here! We ordered a meat locker and half a pound of burnt ends. They are absolutely amazing! The burnt ends are so tender, juicy and flavorful. If I don't have to watch my calories, I can eat it everyday! The ribs are tender, smoky and sweet while the chicken and turkey are done right. Brisket is unexpectedly delicious! They are even better than the ones from The Smokies (another BBQ place we love in Oklahoma) They have a few side dishes to order. You know, many BBQ places would just offer so-so side dishes to make money. This place prepared with heart and care. Oh and the meat locker comes with 2 Twinkies just for kicks.
Definitely recommend you to try this place! -

My friend and I got word that this place was THE PLACE to go to for some good BBQ so we decided to venture out and give it a try!
I really like the atmosphere of the place. When you pull in and see that truck parked outside with their sign and then scope out the restaurant, it just radiates a good, country vibe.
The food and price of the food was also good! We each ordered the 3 Meat Plates. The portions are a good size and $21 for $3 meats, 2 sides, bread and a Twinkie is a win in my book!
I was told the burnt ends are their most popular item. I really enjoyed the ribs, myself. I also liked their apple pie BBQ beans! If you're curious about this place, I'd recommend giving it a try!
As far as the line and wait goes, their website recommends the best times to stop by in line. We came at 11 a.m. on a rainy Sunday and had no problems with it being overcrowded. -

This sparked my husbands joy for BBQ. He is from the PNW (so... no good southern bbq) but he always would say eh to bbq. Well that has all changed now. We came on a Friday afternoon so no line!
The meat locker: great amount of food for the price. Gave a sampling of all meats (except the burnt ends). We also got some burnt ends too because we really wanted to try everything. The meat locker feeds 4 people so needless to say, we had leftovers which we happily took home.
Ribs: these were my absolute favorite. Fall off the bone tender. Not dry and very juicy. Also amazing flavor. I would only get ribs when we go back! Not to take away from the other meats because they all were good.
Brisket: nice flavor and texture, not dry as some brisket could be
Burnt ends: very flavorful, however, drawback is it had a lot of fatty pieces which I dont love. But this is one of the most popular items so we had to try of course.
OVERALL: I'd definitely go back and my husband is now a bbq believer and counting the days til we go back. It is a sweeter style of bbq so be prepared for that if you prefer a more salty and spicy bbq. But overall, delicious. -

We got here on a Sunday 30 minutes early. (1030) We were about 5th family in line. From getting there early, ordering and leaving was within an hour.
We got the Meat Locker + Burnt Ends + Pickles/Onions. One of the best BBQ places I've tried in Oklahoma. Was worn the drive from the city and the wait. The ribs are fall off the bone. You can get either the sliced or chopped brisket. Adding the burnt ends to the meat locker was worth it. I think the meat locker is easily split for 3 people.
Great little spot. -

We waited about 45 mins in line, we went on a Saturday around 12pm. I want to say that it was worth the wait! The food was amazing. My favorite was the chopped brisket sandwich and extra buttered corn on the cob. They really do pack the meat in the sandwich. Really recommend!
